Catch up on the Latest News About Cassandra Clare's Next Next Series: THE LAST HOURS

A few days back, Cassandra Clare had revealed the mysterious THL is short for The Last Hours. The title is inspired by Great Expectations by Charles Dickens.
You have been in every line I have ever read, since I first came here, the rough common boy whose poor heart you wounded even then. You have been in every prospect I have ever seen since — on the river, on the sails of the ships, on the marshes, in the clouds, in the light, in the darkness, in the wind, in the woods, in the sea, in the streets. You have been the embodiment of every graceful fancy that my mind has ever become acquainted with. The stones of which the strongest London buildings are made, are not more real, or more impossible to be displaced by your hands, than your presence and influence have been to me, there and everywhere, and will be. Estella, to the last hours of my life, you cannot choose but remain part of my character, part of the little good in me, part of the evil.
The Last Hours talk about the next generation after Will and Tessa (i.e. their children)
The Last Hours is a new Shadowhunters series set in 1903. It deals with Will and Tessa’s children, James and Lucie Herondale, as well as Cordelia Carstairs, Charlotte and Henry’s children, Tatiana Blackthorn’s children, the Lightwood kids, and many more. 1903 is right around the time the Victorian era tips over into the Edwardian era — beautiful clothes, fabulous history and so much more that I’m excited to write about!
There will be 3 books in this series: Chain of Thorns, Chain of Gold, and Chain of Iron. These titles are also inspired by Great Expectations:
Imagine one selected day struck out of it, and think how different its course would have been. Pause you who read this, and think for a moment of the long chain of iron or gold, of thorns or flowers, that would never have bound you, but for the formation of the first link on one memorable day.
Just like The Infernal Devices is interconnected with The Mortal Instruments, The Last Hours will be interconnected with The Dark Artifices:
The books will interconnect with The Dark Artifices trilogy as two separate trilogies that are also the stories of the Blackthorns, Herondales and Carstairs, much like TMI and The Infernal Devices interconnected despite taking place in different time periods and locations. The exact order of publication isn’t decided yet. Lady Midnight, the first of the Dark Artifices, will certainly be the next Shadowhunter book coming out, and I’ll keep you up to date on the publication order when it’s nailed down.
Here are some characters from The Last Hours illustrated by Cassandra Jean:

Cassandra Clare's Next Series After 'TDA' Will be Called 'THE WICKED POWERS'

We TLH is still a mystery title, but Cassandra Clare gave us hints about one of her next series: TWP. The title comes from the Shadowhunter Rhyme:
[...]Saffron lights the victory march,
Green will mend our broken hearts.
Silver for the demon towers,
And bronze to summon wicked powers.
The Wicked Powers will take place 3 years after the end of The Dark Artifices.

After some clever Shadowhunters guessed "The Wicked Powers ," Cassandra Clare tweeted:

Cassandra Clare Talks About New Possible Shadowhunter Series

Cassandra Clare talks about her future plans to write about more Shadowhunter series.
My plan at the moment is to do five Shadowhunter series, total. I don’t know if I’ll do any series in the Shadowhunter world beyond that. I don’t know why five exactly — maybe because one of my major literary idols has always been Tamora Pierce and she did five series set in Tortall. :) Maybe I think I have five stories to tell in this world. Maybe I’ll get to the end and want to tell more. Maybe not — I have a stockpile of other worlds and stories in my head; I’m writing one of them by writing Magisterium now, but there are many others.

About the Shadowhunter world:

There is a special sort of enjoyment in developing stories in a created world, because you can take the rules you yourself have invented, and bend them or break them. You can create connections and history — the story of Isabelle’s ruby necklace stretches back all the way to Vampires, Scones and Edmund Herondale. Then again, with a brand new world, you get to make everything up again. It’s like: brand-new baby or adorable five-year old? They’re both good.

About new series:

(The five Shadowhunter series are TiD, TLH, TMI, TDA, and very far down the road, TWP. Don’t even ask about that one! It’s too far in the future! There are other Shadowhunter projects like The Bane Chronicles and the graphic novel project about the Circle, currently in planning stages and known as TST, but I’m not counting them: I’m only counting book series/trilogies written solely by me.)

Final Shadowhunter Tarot Cards: Fairchild of TLH and the Morgensterns of TMI

Cassandra Jean has created Shadowhunter Tarot Cards. Some of the cards have been switched out for others (you can view all the unofficial ones here), but Cassandra Clare announced on her tumblr that the card deck has been finalized. There are around 70 cards in total. Some of the cards we have seen before and some we haven't, but be ware, there are spoilers! To see all the official cards so far, click here.
We’ve moved on from the Major Arcana to the minor Arcana — the first suit is the suit of Rings, which takes the place of the suit of Pentacles. Each Rings card shows the family ring of a particular Shadowhunter family and some of the members. I decided to do two today, since I’m way behind on posting these. Above Matthew Fairchild, of TLH, with the ring of the Fairchilds and a carnation flower. Below Clary and Sebastian, both of whom have Fairchild blood too, stand in for the Morgensterns, with their rings.

@cassieclare's Q&A about future projects (TLH)

The Infernal Devices has wrapped up, we're all heartbroken and happy at the same time. It's alright because Cassie has started tweeting all about her next series, TLH. TLH will be about the second generation to The Infernal Devices. At the moment, Cassie won't tell us what TLH, but anyone have any guesses?

Also, Cassie mention a few things about a new secret unnamed project. This secret project will take place 3 years after The Dark Artifices.

The Collection of all the Shadowhunter Tarot Cards (at the moment)

The cards are listed in order of the days they came out (to see the latest card, click here). Above the cards, it is the background information from Cassie's tumblr. The collection of cards have characters starting from The Infernal Devices, The Mortal Instruments all the way to The Dark Artifices. Through these cards we have found some new characters -Julian Blackthorn, Emma Carstairs, Cristina Rosales, Livia and Tiberius Blackthorn- that I'm sure we will love as much as The Mortal Instruments and Infernal Devices crew.
Cassandra Jean is doing a set of Shadowhunter Tarot cards, starting with the characters from the Dark Artifices. (Isn’t Jules adorable?) They don’t have the same titles as the Major Arcana of the real Tarot, but you can see by their numbers what cards they match up to (Julian, #4, matches The Emperor.)
