New CITY OF HEAVENLY FIRE Snippet About Magnus's Father

Two -well, technically three- more months till City of Heavenly Fire. Here's to two/three more months of stressing about this final book in The Mortal Instruments.
Read a snippet to make it better:
“And I suppose you know who Magnus’ father is?” Luke said.
“I paid a lot of money once to find it out,” Raphael said.

More calendar art! So the beautiful Cassandra (NOT me, Cassandra Jean) and I have been collaborating to create a calendar of the TMI/TID/TDA/TLH boys — Men of the Shadowhunter Universe, I guess — and while I don’t know what we’re going to do with it yet, here’s Magnus/Alec as February 2014, celebrating Valentine’s Day*. More soon!
*But not, like, the way Valentine celebrates it.
Will, being hot in a cold way in March. By Cassandra Jean.

June 10: New BANE CHRONICLES Snippet Featuring Edmund and Magnus

Place holder art for Vampires, Scones, and Edmund Herondale
“I was very stupid,” Edmund said, almost violently. “I thought of love as a game. It is not a game. It is more serious than death. Without Linette, I might as well be dead.”
“You speak of giving up your Shadowhunter nature,” said Magnus softly. “One can give up many things for love, but one should not give up oneself.”
“Is that so, Bane?” Edmund whirled on him. “I was born to be a warrior, and I was born to be with her. Tell me how to reconcile the two, because I cannot!”

Day 7 of 70: Final Shadowhunter Tarot Cards: Clace and Malec

Cassandra Jean has created Shadowhunter Tarot Cards. Some of the cards have been switched out for others (you can view all the ones that are out here), but Cassandra Clare announced on her tumblr that the card deck has been finalized. Each day, Cassie will try to post a new card on her tumblr. There are around 70 cards in total. Some of the cards we have seen before and some we haven't, but be ware, there are spoilers!
The Lovers card! Its meaning is pretty self-explanatory. I thought I’d attach the first version we did, which was just Jace and Clary. For whatever reason it wasn’t working for us. Maybe because Jace looks slightly evil? :) Also I felt like there are so many characters whose relationships could represent unity and love. So we decided to make it a flippable card, which worked either way up, and have Magnus and Alec represent love as well.

April, 18: New Spoilery 'City of Heavenly Fire' Art Snippet With Magnus and Alec

With Clockwork Princess now out for a month, I’ve decided it’s time to start mixing up answers about Clockwork Princess with a few teasers for the last book in that other series. This teaser isn’t words, it’s art. I won’t make any promises about what it means but I think you’ll like it. ;) It IS A SPOILER though, so it’s under a cut.
Magnus’ scarf is like its own character at this point.
Quiet the overload of Malec feels, eh?

Day 2 of 84: Final Shadowhunter Tarot Cards: Magnus Bane

Cassandra Jean has created Shadowhunter Tarot Cards. Some of the cards have been switched out for others (you can view all the ones that are out here), but Cassandra Clare announced on her tumblr that the card deck has been finalized. Each day starting from today, Cassie will post a new card on her tumblr. Some of the cards we have seen before and some we haven't, but be ware, there are spoilers!

Day 2:
This card corresponds to the Magician card. Magnus is the Magician, well — for obvious reasons! Many have asked why Magnus has a halo. He doesn’t: the sign over his head is the infinity sign. It is meant to signify the infinite nature of magic and comes from the original Rider-Waite Tarot. I like to think it symbolizes here that Magnus’ life is infinite as well.
Look closely for Chairman Meow, the Book of the White, and Woolsey’s snuffbox!

Mar. 31: New 'Bane Chronicles' Snippet in Celebration of Finishing an Instalment (Clockwork Princess Spoilers)

In celebration of Cassie and Sarah finishing an installment of The Bane Chronicles, Sarah and Cassie gave us a snippet! (Proceed with Caution: There is a Clockwork Princess spoiler)
James had not seemed to want to be taken from the cold depths of the water: had fought Magnus as he dragged him out, then laid his pale cheek against the dank earth of the riverbank, and hid his face in his arms.

Mar. 29: New 'The Bane Chronicles' Snippet (Spoilers for Clockwork Princess)

There is a Clockwork Princess spoiler, advance with caution!
This boy had pale amber eyes, like a crystal glass filled brimful with crisp white wine and held up to catch the light of the sun. Magnus could not imagine these eyes as tender. The boy was lovely, but his was a beauty like that Helen of Troy might have had once, disaster written in every line. The light of his beauty made Magnus think of cities burning.

Fog and gaslight receded into memory. His momentary lapse into foolish nostalgia was over. This was not Will. That broken, beautiful boy would be a man now, and this boy was a stranger.

A particular greenhouse …
A photograph of Jocelyn from days gone by.
Looking better in black.
The High Warlock of Brooklyn. Hello, Magnus!
I loved the extended trailer — there’s some lovely funny bits and some great Simon and Alec stuff — and I hope you’ll love it too!

Meet Magnus Bane... in boxers

Earlier this month for #ShareMortalLove, MTV released a Magnus Bane photo and now to follow up, MTV has an interview with Godfrey Gao (Magnus Bane) and check out the photo; Magnus in boxers!
"There's actually a really big pressure because I know there are a lot of fans out there, and everyone loves Magnus Bane, and I love Magnus Bane," he said. "So I just wanted to play a sort of cool-looking Magnus Bane, but I also wanted to bring out the flamboyant side. The party side of Magnus Bane, so hopefully everybody can enjoy what I bring to you on screen."
And for those who can't get enough of the warlock, Clare revealed that an extra Magnus scene was written into the screenplay that didn't originally appear in the book.
"It is really cool," Gao said of the bonus moment. "This whole ride has been amazing. I really got to thank everybody... This is my first English feature. I'm actually pretty nervous doing this interview now. I never do any interviews in English, it was always in Mandarin before."
Check out the full interview with a video over at MTV.com

Meeting Magnus Bane tomorrow

Today (Feb. 25), Joshua Horowitz (a MTV Correspondent) tweeted that we would get a big surprise tomorrow
Later, Joshua tweeted that this surprise would involve a certain warlock, Magnus Bane.
What do you think that could mean?
Perhaps another photo, maybe an interview, or even better, a clip of Magnus?

Feast your eyes upon Godfrey Gao as Magnus Bane (with an interview from MTV)

The unedited version of Magnus Bane (Godfrey Gao) from Cassandra Clare's tumblr:

MTV interviews Godfrey Gao:

Introduction:

Sparkly eye-liner? Check. Posh threads? Yep. Flashy nail polish? You bet. He may not be a rock star but he sure as hell could be: Meet Magnus Bane, the High Warlock of Brooklyn.
The big-screen adaptation of Cassandra Clare's best-selling urban fantasy"The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones" doesn't hit theaters until August 23, but MTV News is giving you an exclusive first look at the flamboyant fan-favorite character, played by newcomer Godfrey Gao.
"City of Bones" centers around Clary Fray (played by Lily Collins), a seemingly average teen, who uncovers her secret roots in a society of half-angel, half-human warriors known as Shadowhunters, who are tasked with ridding the world of demonic forces. Along with her newfound Nephilim allies, Clary gets assistance from the magical Bane, who knows a lot more about her past than he leads on.

Interview with Godfrey Gao:

Magnus is a multi-layered character, to be sure, and it was a role Gao said he relished.
"I love Magnus Bane's character because [he] can live forever and never age a day, and who doesn't want to live forever?" Gao told MTV News. "I also love that Magnus is a flamboyant party animal, and it's fun to be described that way compared to the other characters I've portrayed previously. Magnus is so out there, he's definitely a character I will never forget!"
Magnus' "out there" persona boasts plenty of theatricality in his dress and personal grooming (evidenced by our first look photo). And, surprisingly, Gao said the transformation didn't translate to hours in the makeup chair.
"Magnus' extravagant style of dress and makeup was quite the hot topic when I arrived to shoot in Toronto. All the glitter, nail polish, eye-liner and the outfits combined made Magnus the character that everyone loves and envisioned in their minds," Gao said. "While I never spent more than 30 minutes for hair and makeup, the results for Magnus' style ... let's just say the hair, makeup and costume team/departments did a fantastic job of styling my character, and I enjoyed every single moment of transforming into Magnus! The warlock outfit with the black cape and hoody was very intriguing as well!"

Freak out over the one and only Magnus Bane

Wednesday, February, 13th will forever be known as the day we got our very first look at the High Warlock of Brooklyn, Magnus Bane. It's perfect timing given that tomorrow is Valentine's Day, thus even if you don't have a date, you have Magnus to keep you company!

The guessing started with:
I can tell you have a lot on your mind. I won't keep you waiting.
